Ingredients
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fillings of your choice(e.g., diced ham,bell peppers,onions,mushrooms,cheese,herbs)
Instructions
- Crack the eggs into a bowl and whisk them together with a pinch of salt and pepper untill the whites and yokes are fully incorporated.
- Heat a small non-stick pan over medium heat and add butter. Once melted tilt the pan to ensure the butter covers the entire surface.
- Pour the egg mixture into the pan and let it cook for about 1-2 minutes, until the edges start to set.
- Add your desired fillings to one half of the omelette and sprinkle with a bit more salt and pepper if needed
- Use a spatula to gently lift the edges of the omelette and tilt the pan so the uncooked egg can flow underneath.
- Once the eggs are almost set, use the spatula to fold the other half of the omelette over the fillings.
- Cook for an additional 30 seconds to 1 minutes, untill the eggs are fully set and the cheese is melted (if using).
- Slide the omelette out of the pan onto a plate and serve hot.
